17 Mar Ontario Declares a State of Emergency. This gives the province expanded powers including the ability to enforce the closure of certain businesses, especially restaurants and bars. This is not a provincial shutdown–essential services will continue to operate. Grocery stores and pharmacies will be open. See here for more on what the announcement means:
